
The Palladian research team is comprised
of seasoned professionals with decades of experience in the investment
management world. Some of our analysts have worked on both the sell
side and the buy side, and have a strong understanding of the needs
of our clients and a wealth of expertise in conducting equity research.
Harriet
Baldwin, Director of Research
Harriet Baldwin, author of Industrial
Bellwether Report, has followed Industrials since 1995
at Lehman Brothers and Deutsche Bank. Harriet was named in the Wall
Street Journal's Best on the Street for both stock picking and earnings
forecast accuracy for Diversified Industrials, and was a member
of an Institutional Investor Global All-Star team for Industrials.
Harriet started on Wall Street as an assistant in regional banks
and then moved to strategy. Harriet is a summa cum laude graduate
of Mount Holyoke College in Mathematics with high honors in English,
and was a doctoral candidate in Mathematics at Columbia University.
Although Harriet grew up in Seattle, she does not drink coffee.

Jim
Poyner, Research Analyst
Mr. Poyner has spent 20 years
on Wall Street primarily as a sell-side technology analyst covering
a variety of tech sectors from semiconductor to software to hardware
at firms that include CIBC World Markets, Dain Rauscher and C.E.
Unterberg Towbin. He is a five-time member of the Wall Street Journal's
All-Star Stock Picking team, including 1997 when he was chosen the
top stock picker for all industries. Before his Wall Street career,
Jim was a reporter for five years for the Dallas Morning News and
the Dallas/Fort Worth Business Journal after receiving a B.A. in
journalism from the University of North Texas. Mr. Poyner is the
author of Fundalytics.

Eric
Sites, Research Associate
Eric has been a research associate
with Palladian Research since the beginning of 2002 and has collaborated
with Murray Stahl of Horizon Research since the inception of The
Scratch Report. Before joining Palladian, Eric worked in the
Private Client Services division of Salomon Smith Barney. Prior
to Salomon Smith Barney, Eric worked at Chicago-based Argonaut Insurance,
where he analyzed environmental special claims litigations. Eric
holds a B.A. from Southern Illinois University and an M.A. in Business
Development from Columbia University.

Gregory
Niss, Research Associate
Greg comes to Palladian Research with
8 years of experience in the finance industry. Most recently, he
was a member of the quantitative investment group at UBS Global
Asset Management, an entity with $6 billion under management. There,
he constructed portfolios and provided investment analysis for the
equity and fixed income funds and institutional accounts. Prior
to UBS, he worked as an Investment Consultant at BT Alex Brown and,
before that, at PaineWebber. Greg has a B.S. in mathematics from
Fairfield University and has completed level 2 of the CFA program.

Christine
Bae, Research Associate
Christine Bae has been with Palladian
Research since late 2003. Prior to joining the firm, she worked
as a sell-side equity research associate at C.E. Unterberg, Towbin.
There, Christine conducted fundamental research and analysis on
various technology stocks in the computing and storage-networking
sectors. Christine has a B.S. in Finance and Information Systems
from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business
and is a Level III candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst
Program.

Melissa
Eisenstat, Advisor
Ms. Eisenstat is a 17-year veteran of the
technology and financial industries. From 1993 through 2002, she
analyzed software stocks at Oppenheimer and its successor firm,
CIBC World Markets. As Managing Director and the lead software analyst
at CIBC, her responsibilities included the coverage of industry
leaders, as well the management of the software research team, a
group that she grew to nine professionals covering over 45 stocks.
She was named All Star Analyst in the Wall Street Journal for stock
picking in 1996, 1997 and 1999. Prior to Wall Street, Ms. Eisenstat
spent seven years in the technology industry. She worked for three
years at Apple Computer in international marketing and US business
development, and four years at Pillar Corporation, an applications
software company where she spent a year in marketing and three years
in direct sales. She was Pillar's top sales person in 1990. Ms.
Eisenstat holds a BA and an MA from the University of Pennsylvania's
School of Arts and Sciences and an MBA from its Wharton School.
